New Social Network!

“SCVNGR is a game about going places, doing challenges and earning points.” (SCVNGR, 2010)

This is a new network that aims to increase engagement between businesses and consumers through the use of games based around your location. SCVNGR can be linked to the users Facebook/Twitter and is available on both iPhone and Android. Businesses can use the site as a platform to build an interactive game that the user will play to win free gifts, in return for advertising their company.

The difference between SCVNGR and existing social networking sites is that it takes the user into the real world, not a virtual one. The whole concept is based around getting out and using what is around you to gain rewards for yourself.

3D Projections on Buildings

Companies such as NuFormer and Macula are creating unique art installations by projecting videos onto buildings.

New Louis Vuitton store opening!

Alexa Chung hosted the grand opening the new Louis Vuitton store last night on London's famous Bond Street. The store comes in as the brands second biggest, at 17,000 square feet, after the Champs-Elysées flagship in Paris and officiially opens this Friday.
The night was filled with stars such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Daisy Lowe, Thandie Newton and Kirsten Dunst.

Karl Lagerfeld for Coca-Cola

Karl Lagerfeld has collaborated with Coca-Cola to create these limited edition bottles of the fizzy beverage! A boxed version will be sold at both Colette and Galeries Lafayette, where this display (designed and photographed by the man himself) will sit.

Coffee Kiss Sculpture

I have just come across this amazing sculpture by Hong Kong artist Tsang Cheung Shing. The sculpture has been named 'Yuanyang II' after a popular drink made from coffee and Hong Kong-style milk tea. It is a facinating piece of work and I have spent ages trying to work out where they would have started!
