Clogs?!

Ever since Alexa Chung wore her S/S '10 Chanel ones to their couture show a few months ago i have been uncertain as to whether clogs would really catch on as a trend, although the press are trying to convince everyone that they are cool!
I have been on the look out and haven't actually seen anyone wearing them on the streets as of yet, however, i went to the Westfield centre in London today and i couldn't believe how many pairs there were in the shops!I don't think i am convinced on this trend and if i were to have the chance of buying something from Chanel, a pair of clogs would be the last thing on my list!
However, for those who do fancy investing in the look Asos are selling this tan, studded pair similar to Alexa's for just £85!
